Schades Group Expands Production Capabilities with Investment in Advanced Digicon Press Technology

Schades Group has invested in a new press line for its production facility in Bordeaux, France, further strengthening its label manufacturing capabilities and reinforcing its commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality solutions for customers.

The state-of-the-art Digicon Series 3 5-colour line is a market-leading finishing and converting solution for label production. The fully modular system can process webs up to 430 mm wide and features five printing units, enabling the combination of water-based inks (up to two colours) with UV LED links.

This advanced configuration provides exceptional versatility, allowing Schades Group to meet a broad range of customer requirements while maintaining outstanding print quality and production efficiency.

A key advantage of the new press is its semi-rotary technology, which offers unparalleled flexibility in label production. The system can accommodate virtually any label format without the need for additional tooling investments, helping customers benefit from faster turnaround times, greater responsiveness, and optimised production costs.

Designed with efficiency in mind, the Digicon press offers quick and intuitive setup processes, significantly reducing changeover times while ensuring consistent, high-quality output from the very first production runs.

The investment also expands Schades Group’s technical capabilities, enabling the production of more advanced label applications, including double-sided printing and adhesive-side printing in one colour through a sophisticated delamination and re-lamination process.
