Schades Group Strengthens Label Production Capabilities With New Press at Omeko Site

Schades Group, Europe’s largest paper roll and label manufacturer, has installed a new label production line at its Omeko Papier facility in Krakow, Poland, supporting its focus on efficiency, quality and sustainability.

The new line comprises a Mark Andy E5 press, equipped with an ABG Vectra AutoSet inline system. The servo-driven press replaces Omeko Papier’s existing mechanical Mark Andy P3, providing enhanced production capabilities and greater flexibility to respond to evolving customer requirements.

The Mark Andy E5 press can produce labels for applications including prime labels, durable and industrial labels, tags and tickets, and supported and unsupported film. Its installation marks an important milestone for Omeko Papier, becoming the second Mark Andy press operating at its facility.

Among the operational benefits of this new technology are a significant reduction in production waste and more efficient production times, driven by the reduced order setup and changeover times enabled by the advanced automation capabilities of the ABG Vectra AutoSet system.
